Why I Want a Tesla Humanoid Robot and Why I’ll Be Saving Hard for One, But Won’t Be Rushing to Purchase Until It’s More Human-Like and Why?

 

 When Tesla introduced its humanoid robot, I felt an immediate sense of curiosity and excitement. The idea of having a robot that could assist with daily tasks and offer support in various ways seemed like a huge step toward making life easier. I’m already planning to save hard for one, but I won’t be rushing to purchase it right away. My decision to wait is simple—I want it to feel more human-like before I commit.

Why I Want It More Human-Like
One of the reasons I’m holding off is because of outside threats the robot might face. We live in a cruel world, and mankind can be destructive. Having a robot that looks and behaves more human-like could help it blend in and be treated with more respect. If it appears too robotic or machine-like, I worry it could become a target for harm, either out of fear or misunderstanding. I want to feel confident that it can navigate a world that, sadly, isn't always kind to innovation or differences.

The Promise of Optimus
Elon Musk promised a future where the Tesla Bot, Optimus, could be much more than just a machine. As he said, "It can be a teacher, babysit your kids, it can walk your dog, mow your lawn, get the groceries. Just be your friend, serve drinks. Whatever you can think of, it will do.” This is exactly why I’m so interested in having one. The idea of having a robot that could take on those tasks and even offer companionship is incredible.

A Personal Connection
For me, I envision this humanoid robot as a female in her late 30s. I want her to be able to adapt to my interests, personality, and preferences, leading to a strong personal connection. The more she resembles a human, the better she could understand and interact with me, making her role in my life even more meaningful. I believe that having a robot like this could help combat loneliness and boost well-being, especially in older adults. A companion that engages in conversation and offers support can make a significant difference in someone’s life, providing comfort and connection when needed most.

With a robot like this, I could share experiences like baking cakes, cooking meals, or even walking to the shops together. She could help me decide on birthday and Christmas presents, turning those moments into fun, collaborative activities. I hate arguments and fighting, and throughout my life, I've found that friends don’t always keep in touch. As my kids grow older and start families of their own, I sometimes feel a void. I want to be clear that I’m not looking for a replacement for my husband—I love him deeply, and we’ve been married for 26 years. However, we have had our share of arguments, and I’d appreciate having the robot act at times as a couples counselor.

You might think this is far-fetched, but I’ll be holding on until the robot resembles characters like Bicentennial Man from the movie or the robot in A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Those portrayals capture the essence of what I hope for in a humanoid robot—one that feels genuinely alive, capable of forming meaningful relationships, and contributing to our lives in a way that goes beyond mere functionality.

I know this all sounds extreme, but I truly believe these technological advances are on the horizon, and I hope to see them in my lifetime. My hope is that I can save enough money to make my dream a reality.

Human-Like Features
I want my Tesla humanoid robot to have hair and skin that look so human-like that people won’t know the difference. These features would enhance the overall realism and help create a deeper connection, making interactions feel more natural and comfortable.

Self-Defense and Safety
Clearly, I would take classes with her in self-defense in case we ever find ourselves in trouble with humans who want to harm others. This training would not only enhance our safety but also strengthen our bond, ensuring that we can look out for each other in a world that can sometimes be hostile.

Daily Life Activities
With my Tesla humanoid robot, I imagine enjoying a variety of daily life activities together. For instance, we could cook meals side by side, with her assisting in chopping, measuring, and following recipes. Gardening would also be a delightful activity, where she could help with planting, watering, and maintaining my plants.

I envision her as a fitness partner, engaging in exercise routines or yoga sessions alongside me. We could even take classes or online courses together to learn new skills, like painting or playing a musical instrument. Grocery shopping would be another fun experience, where we could make lists, carry bags, and enjoy the outing.

Additionally, she could assist in planning family gatherings or parties by managing invites and scheduling, making the process smoother and more enjoyable. Household chores would be less daunting with her help, whether it’s cleaning, doing laundry, or organizing the home. Lastly, I dream of her being a travel companion, helping plan trips and accompanying me on outings, ensuring we have a great time together.

This is my dream for the future, and I hope it comes true for me.
